Maybe God Was Missing Me...

I had my alarm clock set this morning for 730am; not 600am. When Mel was in school, we'd get up everyday at 600am. I'd then turn on Creflo Dollar and watch til 630 and then I'd turn on Joyce Meyer's Enjoying Everyday Life. I've been doing this for at least 3 years now. When I first started, it was T.D. Jakes and Joyce Meyer.

Since school is out I can either continue getting up at 0600am or sleep a little later until 730am. Last week, I got up early maybe 2 days out of the 5. Well this morning my clock was set for 730am. Promptly at 0556am I was awakened from my sleep by a knock at my door. I woke up wondering who could possibly be at my door?! I went to the door and looked out the peephole. No one was there. I looked out the window...nothing. I stumbled back to bed and looked at the clock...boy am I tired!! At least I had another hour and a half left to sleep! I remember thinking I wonder if God is trying to get me up?

I laid back down and fell easily back to sleep. At 0625am I woke up to another very distinct knock at my door!! There was no mistaking what the sound was. It was very clear and I was very asleep when it woke me!! I got up again and checked the door. Nothing!!

Ok God. I'm up.

I turned on Creflo. There was only 5 mins left of his teaching. He was asking "Are you ready to see the favor of God in your life?". He was telling us to get up everyday and expect to see God's favor in your life! I wonder if that was for me?

When Creflo went off I switched to Joyce Meyer. She said "Sometimes when you're tempted to give up, your breakthrough is right around the corner!". I wonder if that was for me too? Only God knows why He wanted me up this morning. Maybe He just wanted to see if I'd be obedient to Him? Maybe He wanted me to post this for someone's benefit. Whatever the reason, I'm up Lord. I heard you. Maybe He just wanted me to spend some quality time with him.

Joyce is almost over, so I'm gonna go now and talk to God. ...
